Grand Haven, MI – In September of 2023, upon receiving information regarding claims made, Grand Haven City Council passed a Resolution to seek an independent investigation into Whistleblower allegations concerning the Grand Haven Board of Light and Power. Following approval of the resolution, the Grand Haven City Council voted to hire Foster Swift, out of Grand Rapids, as the third party independent legal counsel to complete the investigation.
A thorough and comprehensive investigation has been completed; and, attached, you will find the full report. Foster Swift has concluded that the Whistleblower’s allegations, although believed to have been brought forward in good faith, were not substantiated by evidence.
