Zoning Board of Appeals *PUBLIC HEARINGS*

The City of Grand Haven Zoning Board of Appeals has scheduled Public Hearings to gather citizen input on the following requests:
Case 23-04: A request by Pam Gallina for a variance related to a proposed building addition at 620 Lafayette Ave. (parcel #70-03-20-484-013): a variance from Sec. 40-408.02.C to allow for a lot coverage of 36 percent where 35 percent is the maximum in the Southside District.
Case 23-05: A request by Gary Proos for a retroactive variance related to patio addition at 20060 Breton St. (parcel #70-03-19-479-015): a variance from Sec. 40-306.05.A.2 to allow a covered patio to remain at a distance of 19 feet 3 inches from the front lot line. A covered patio cannot encroach into the front yard, which is 30 feet in the North Shore District.
Case 23-06: A request by Anna and Scott Rowley for a variance related to a proposed driveway apron at 536 Oakes Ave. (parcel #70-03-29-429-007): a variance from Sec. 40-600.03.C.2 to allow a driveway apron in front of the home where the driveway apron must be located closer to the side lot line.
The Public Hearings are scheduled for Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the City of Grand Haven Council Chambers, 519 Washington Avenue, Grand Haven, MI 49417. The meeting packet will be posted on the City website by the Friday prior to the hearings https://www.grandhaven.org/city-services/agendas/. Individuals may express their opinions in person at the public hearing, or written comments may be addressed to Brian Urquhart, Grand Haven Zoning Board of Appeals, 519 Washington Avenue, Grand Haven, MI 49417. To be considered at the public hearing, written and emailed comments must be received by 12:00PM, Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
