Industrial Drive Lift Station Reconstruction

Orchard Lift Station

by Dana Kollewehr - Apr 9, 2024

The City reconstructed the lift station on Industrial Drive in the spring and summer of 2024. The previous lift station, constructed in the late 1970s, was converted into a modern submersible pumping station with new pumps, controls, and telemetry based on the City’s current standards. This project was essential to ensuring a reliable wastewater system and is setting the stage for future lift station standards throughout the City.

Exposed Water Main

by Dana Kollewehr - Apr 1, 2024

A new water main was constructed along the Ferry Street Corridor to ensure water system reliability as the region experiences continued growth. Although the work was primarily located in the southbound lane of Ferry, both lanes of Ferry Street were re-paved. The project was a partnership between Grand Haven Charter Township, the Ottawa County Road Commission, and the City of Grand Haven. The Ottawa County Road Commission funded the project through the sale of bonds on behalf of Grand Haven Charter Township.
