Mortgage Forbearance and Moratorium Information:
2020 was a difficult year in many ways for everyone. The CARES Act, enacted to respond to complications from COVID 19, has measures to alleviate financial concerns for those with an income loss due to the pandemic. One thing the CARES Act allowed is mortgage forbearances. These forbearances were easy to access and are a relief from mortgage payments for a length of time. At the end of the forbearance all missed payments are due. Without a successful exit plan homeowners could be facing foreclosure. NHS can help create an exit plan and answer questions.
