Please see the above information regarding our Spring Yard Waste Drop off Dates for City of Grand Haven Residents. There are changes in 2023 to location; signs will be placed at the former sites redirecting residents to Harbor Island.

These drop off dates are only for residents of the City of Grand Haven who are Republic Services Customers. No staff will be present to assist in your drop-off.  However, these sites will be under video surveillance.  Any dumping other than qualifying yard waste is strictly prohibited.

Important things to remember: Plastic bags and containers used to transport yard waste may not be left at the drop-offsite, 2-ply paper bags are acceptable and may be deposited directly into the collection vehicle. Brush must be tied in bundles not more than 4 feet in length. No individual branch more than 2-1/2 inches in diameter. Please separate brush from other yard waste materials. Republic Services will only accept biological decomposing materials, including leaves, grass clippings, vegetable or other garden debris, shrubbery, brush or tree trimmings. Yard clippings do not include stumps, agricultural waste, animal waste, roots, base of shrubs, sewage sludge, or garbage. Please use biodegradable twine for bundling limbs less than four feet in length and/or biodegradable bags. Additionally, please be sure to load the container evenly; do not pile all yard waste to one end of the container.
