The City of Grand Haven Human Relations Commision (HRC) would like to request your participation in a campaign to find our 2022 Visionary Award Recipients!

The HRC created the Visionary Award in 2021 to celebrate and honor those in our community who demonstrate their commitment to social justice and diversity, making a positive and lasting impact in our community. A visionary is a person or organization who thinks about and plans the future with courage, imagination and wisdom. This award is open to all whose efforts impact the Tri-cities area. Two awards are available each year: one for an adult individual or organization and one for a youth individual or organization. The additional criteria to be selected for this award is attached to this email.

Our 2021 Adult and Youth Visionaries were John Martin, Director of Loutit District Library, and Gabrielle Scott, co-founder of the West Michigan chapter of March for Our Lives/Students Demand Action. Watch the 2021 Visionary Award Video here to celebrate their gifts to our community.

If someone you know comes to mind, including you, please take the time to nominate them!
