This department provides public demand response transportation services to residents and visitors in a service area that includes: the City of Grand Haven, the Village of Spring Lake, the City of Ferrysburg, and as of January 1st the service was expanded into Grand Haven Township. In addition, select service is provided to Lloyds Bayou Senior Complex, Orchard Market, Heartwood Lodge, and Oakcrest Manor in Spring Lake Township.

Lift equipped buses are available. Seat belts are also available on Harbor Transit Buses and are encouraged.  Call 842-3200 to take full advantage of this community based transportation service.

REGULAR SERVICE OPERATION HOURS:

Demand response/paratransit hours for regular service operations are:

Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last pick up at 5:30 p.m.)
Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last pick up at 3:30 p.m.)
Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (24 HR ADVANCE NOTICE)

 

 

Harbor Transit's demand response bus service operates all year with the exception of the following holidays:

New Year's Day
Memorial Day
4th of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Eve Day
Christmas Day


HARBOR TROLLEY:

A summer (seasonal) trolley route that offers a historical narrative of the City of Grand Haven. The trolley runs 7 days/week, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day only.
